Clean-Start® is a heavy duty matting system designed specifically to remove dirt and moisture off forklift tyres as they enter your building.

If a wet and dirty warehouse floor is familiar with you or ongoing cleaning time and costs, the Clean-Start® solution is both cost effective and quick to implement.

How does it work?

As forklifts, or indeed any wheeled traffic, move over the mat, the fabric pile brushes and wipes dirt and moisture off the wheels. The surface absorbs the moisture, so can hold fluids in peak use, for example when it is raining outside, then dry out when incoming fluids reduce.

If small amounts residual moisture are left, these evaporate within a few minutes, leaving your floor clean and dry.

What makes Clean-Start® different to a "normal" entrance mat?

With a thick high-twist pile of 1000g per square meter, Clean-Start® contains about 1.75 times the amount of dirt and 1.5 times the amount of fluid than a “normal” entrance mat.

Twisted pile allows more fluid to be removed and then stored in the mat than normal straight piles, commonly used in laundry mats.

That’s 1200g of dirt trapped per square meter of matting and 6 litres of fluid per square meter that would otherwise be trekked into your warehouse….

The smooth but textured rubber backing is both tougher and twice the thickness of a standard door mat, making it well suited to use work regular forklift activity. However, sharp turns on the matting are not recommended. Made from 100% nitrile material, the rubber backing will withstand use on floors with oil contamination without damage occurring to the matting.

How do I clean it?

Regular maintenance is key to ensure ongoing effectiveness. Brush off or ideally vacuum once per week or more in heavy soil applications. If you don't have a nearby vacuum, we have our wet and dry Numatic available to purchase through our online store.

Clean-Start® can be pressure washed for a deep clean if and when needed.

Does it really work?

Yes! The video shown below and on the home page is a real life, nothing hidden video. At the Strata warehouse, Clean-Start® has been used for several months to keep our own premises clean and dry.
